Part 1

Dr. Reagan: Greetings in the name of Jesus our blessed hope and welcome to Christ in Prophecy. I am delighted to have as my guest this week a Bible prophecy teacher and preacher by the name of August Rosado. He is the Founder and Director of a ministry called Today in Bible Prophecy, August welcome to Christ in Prophecy.

August Rosado: It is good to be here Dave.

Dr. Reagan: And welcome to Texas.

August Rosado: Great to be in God’s country.

Dr. Reagan: Yes, amen, boy you know how to respond.

Nathan Jones: Oh, wow.

Dr. Reagan: I am also blessed to have my colleague Nathan Jones here to help me interview August. Nathan welcome to the program.

Nathan Jones: Well thanks for having me.

Dr. Reagan: Well you know folks Nathan is our Web Minister and notice I said Web Minister and not Web Master. Now he is our Web Master but he is much more than that, he is a seminary trained expert on Bible prophecy, and he spends most of his time everyday talking with people literally all over the world answering their questions about Bible prophecy and defending the fundamentals of the Christian faith. August I want to get into our discussion with you by reading a Scripture and this Scripture is located in 1 Peter, or 2 Peter I am sorry, 2 Peter 1:19 and is says, “We have the prophetic word made sure,” that means we have the prophetic word fulfilled, and it says, “you should pay attention to it because it is like a lamp that is shining in a dark place.” Now here we have a command from 1 of the apostles of Jesus Christ that we should pay attention to Bible prophecy.

August Rosado: Yes.

Dr. Reagan: And yet I think you would agree with me that there is probably no topic in all the Bible that is more ignored in teaching and preaching today than Bible prophecy. Why do you think that is?

August Rosado: Well that is correct, 2 Peter 1:19 is the goal of our ministry. Peter says, “We have also a more sure word of prophecy where unto you do well to take heed.” Dave 1 out of every 3 passages in the Bible deals with prophecy, one-forth of our Bible deals with Bible prophecy. So I feel that it is very important to God and it should be important to us to study God’s prophetic Word because it is our blessed hope.

Dr. Reagan: Amen.

August Rosado: And that is out of Titus 2:13 where Paul says, “That we ought to be looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of our Great God and our Savior Jesus Christ.” Unfortunately prophecy is not a popular subject in the Church today. You just read 2 Peter 1:19 we have also a more sure word of prophecy so if it is important to God it should be important to us.

Dr. Reagan: Yes, but why do you think it is so ignored?

August Rosado: It is so ignored because it is very controversial, I mean you have so many different positions when it comes to prophecy today; Pre-Trib, Mid-Trib, Post-Trib, Pre-Millennial, Post-Millennial, Amillennial. Let me give you a case in point, I called a pastor in Rhode Island and asked if I could come and preach on prophecy at his church I want to talk about the Rapture and he said to me, “I appreciate what you are doing Brother Rosado.” he says, “But in this church we will not teach Bible prophecy because our people will get too confused. I am not familiar with the subject.” Even though he told me that he had a Doctorate of Divinity a Ph.D. and yet he knew nothing of Bible prophecy. And so he appreciated me going around the country preaching on prophecy but not there in his church. So that is a really important step.

Dr. Reagan: I think you needed to quote a Scripture to him 2 Timothy 3:16, “All Scripture, (all) is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness.” Are we going to take ¼ to 1/3 of the Bible put it on the shelf and forget about it?

August Rosado: That is what his church is doing.

Dr. Reagan: Nathan, what do you think about this point about churches ignoring Bible prophecy? Why do you think they do that?

Nathan Jones: I agree with August I think a lot of them are scared, I mean they come out of seminaries where they teach you how to build churches and how to increase numbers.

Dr. Reagan: And don’t teach anything about Bible prophecy.

Nathan Jones: They don’t teach, so they have no way to be able to teach it so they avoid it all together. That is why it is great with guys like August can come out and they can come and help churches, like our ministry, help churches understand that part of the Bible which they were never trained in.

Dr. Reagan: Well, you know I find that most preachers are afraid of Bible prophecy and I find that there are many reasons for that. They are afraid that it will cause controversy and it can! I mean if you get a Bible prophecy teacher who comes in with a chip on his shoulder and his attitude is, “I am going to tell you what the truth is, and everybody who disagrees with me is wrong.” You can start dividing a congregation. But if you just stick with the Word and talk about the Word after all Bible prophecy focuses on Jesus Christ.

August Rosado: That is exactly right.

Nathan Jones: Amen.

Dr. Reagan: And you are going to have people focusing on Jesus. But I tell you one thing that aggravates me to death is so many pastors will say to me, “Well you know David, I am not Pre-Millennial, Amillennial, Post-Millennial, I am just Pan-Millennial, I think it is all going to pan out in the end.” Well you know what that person is really saying? I have not spent anytime studying it and I am not going to.

August Rosado: And that is unfortunate in our churches today. We just don’t want to study God’s prophetic Word and that… You know there is a blessing to studying in Bible prophecy and that is out of Revelation 1:3.

Dr. Reagan: Well talk about, why is it important to study Bible prophecy?

August Rosado: Because there is a blessing involved, that is out of Revelation 1:3, “Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things that are written therein: for the time is at hand.”

Dr. Reagan: Only book that specifically promises you a blessing if you’ll read it.

August Rosado: It is right there in the Book of Revelation. And we are robbing ourselves of a blessing of studying God’s prophetic Word. I mean if John said 2,000 years that the time is at hand, well Dave 2,000 years later how close can it be?

Nathan Jones: Yeah.

August Rosado: So He has to be coming soon, and very soon. So there is a blessing for those who study prophecy, and we ought to be studying prophecy.

Nathan Jones: And it Jesus’ victory and through Jesus it is our victory too, and that is something to get excited about.

August Rosado: Well Nathan we read the end of the book.

Nathan Jones: Yeah.

August Rosado: We know who wins.

Nathan Jones: Yeah, we know who wins, exactly.

Dr. Reagan: Plus the promise, the hope, you know you go to church week after week you have all the stresses of life and nobody tells you about the hope that you have about Jesus’ coming. He is going to straighten this world out, there is going to be peace, righteousness, and justice flood the earth as the waters cover the sea. I mean that is hope.

August Rosado: That is right out of Isaiah 11:9, “The earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.” I would have to say that pastors are just as guilty of robbing their people of the blessed hope by failing to teach and preach Bible prophecy. Just last year I preached in Mississippi and the pastor approached me and he said, “Brother Rosado, despite all of my education,” he says, “you opened my eyes to the prophetic truth of God’s Word. I knew nothing of what you said, despite my seminary training.”

Dr. Reagan: Now you talked about it being difficult to understand for many people and they shy away from it for that reason. What would you say are some keys to understanding Bible prophecy?

August Rosado: I would have to say Dave the biggest key is the literal interpretation of God’s Word, even though the book of Revelation uses a lot of symbolism.

Dr. Reagan: Right.

August Rosado: We need to look for a literal interpretation behind the symbolism. And the reason why we get into so much doctrinal trouble today is because we take the symbolism and we interpret it with more symbolism. So this is where we get into trouble. We need to take Gods’ Word for its plan sense literal meaning. As you say, “If the plan sense makes sense don’t look for any other sense or you will end up with nonsense.”

Dr. Reagan: Well I think that is certainly the number 1 rule for the whole Bible, I’m not just talking about Bible prophecy from beginning to end. Don’t spiritualize it take it for its plan sense meaning. And sure there are symbols but even symbols have a plan sense meaning behind then. So take it for its plan sense meaning. You know my favorite quote, one of my favorite quotes about Bible prophecy is from Dr. Morris, Henry Morris who founded the Institute for Creation Research, and in his book, “The Revelation Record,” which is his commentary on the book of Revelation he says, “I am writing this book because people tell me they can’t understand the book of Revelation it is just too difficult to understand.” He said, “I’ve got news for you, it is not difficult to understand, it is difficult to believe, if you’ll believe it you will understand it.”

August Rosado: Amen.

Dr. Reagan: You know one time I was going through, I looked in probably 85% of all of the commentaries I could find on the book of Revelation for example said that in Revelation chapter 7 when it says there is going to be 144,000 Jews in the end times that are going to be given special responsibility, 85% said, now this is talking about the Church. And I thought, “Well what does God have to do to convince us He is talking about 144,000 Jews, he names them by tribes?”

August Rosado: Yes.

Dr. Reagan: But we spiritualize these things to death, and people love to do that because then they become God because it means anything that they want it to mean.

August Rosado: Exactly, frankly I believe allegorizing Scriptures is blasphemy because you are making yourself God and you can come up with any form of interpretation that you want.

Dr. Reagan: Well I would say to really understand Bible prophecy you’ve got to have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, because the Spirit is going to help you to understand. You do not have to have a Ph.D. in hermeneutics; you do not have to have a vivid imagination. You do have to have childlike faith.

August Rosado: Yes.

Dr. Reagan: But if you approach the Bible with child-like faith and rely on the Holy Spirit you can understand the Bible.

August Rosado: You know before I got saved I tried reading the Bible and it was like Chinese to me, I could not understand one-iota of that book. But when I got saved almost 23 years ago the Holy Spirit opened my eyes.

Dr. Reagan: Well I want to tell you brother when you talk you sometimes sound to me like Chinese or something because I know you’re not from Texas.

August Rosado: No, I am not from Texas.

Dr. Reagan: And we are going to talk about that in just a moment, where you came from, where you got that delightful accent. And how in the world you ended up on all things preaching and teaching Bible prophecy. Okay.

Part 2

Dr. Reagan: Welcome back to our discussion of Bible prophecy with August Rosado Founder and Director of a ministry called Today in Bible Prophecy. Well August we were talking about that delightful accent of yours which is certainly is not a Texas accent. In fact I lived in Boston for 3 years while I was going to Harvard Graduate School, and I remember people talking to me about parking the car in highland yard. And so how does a guy with a Hispanic last name end up in Massachusetts and then grow up in a non-Christian home and end of all things teaching Bible prophecy? Give us some background on you.

August Rosado: Well, Dr. Reagan I just have to say God is amazing. I remember giving my life to the Lord on April 22, 1988, 10:49 AM on a Thursday morning I remember it like it was yesterday.

Nathan Jones: Wow.

August Rosado: And I come from a non-Christian home as you said my family was plagued with drugs, alcohol. I come from a family of 14 and there is only 6 of us left.

Dr. Reagan: Oh, my, that’s sad.

August Rosado: Drugs and alcohol have killed off the rest of my family. But it was on that day April 22, 1988 that somebody shared with me the good news of the saving power.

Dr. Reagan: And it just penetrated your heart.

August Rosado: And it just penetrated my heart. My brother just died a month earlier from a drug deal gone bad, and I remember walking home extremely intoxicated. Now I am not proud to say that. And I remember looking up into the sky and I said, “God if you are there show me that you are there.” And the next day at work, the Lord brought an individual to me and shared with me the Good News.

Dr. Reagan: The very next day.

August Rosado: The very next day.

Nathan Jones: Ask and ye shall find, right, Luke 11:9.

August Rosado: Exactly Nathan, and I remember that day I just bowed my head and I trusted in Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal Savior. I went back home and I told Patty we weren’t married then, I said, “Patty something amazing happened to me at work.” She said, “You got a raise.” I said, “Well you could say that, yes, a spiritual raise.” She said, “What are you talking about? I said well I trusted in Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal Savior.”

Dr. Reagan: Oh, dear.

Nathan Jones: Oh.

August Rosado: Instead of being happy she went ballistic. [Dave & Nathan laughing] She went crazy she wouldn’t talk to me, she said, “I don’t want no religious fanatics in this house.” And that following evening the guy that led me to the Lord brought the pastor over and he talked with her and Patty got saved, and my mother got saved, and my twin brother got saved.

Nathan Jones: Wow.

August Rosado: That’s Acts 16:3.

Dr. Reagan: Go ahead and tell the story about when the pastor started talking about living with somebody you’re not married to.

Nathan Jones: Oh, yeah.

August Rosado: I remember we went to a conference in Rhode Island and the preacher was talking about fornication. Now I had never heard of fornication before, I thought it was some skin disease, and I had never heard of it. So my pastor sitting next to me and I said, “Pastor what is fornication?” And he said, “Well August that is 2 people living together without a marriage license.” And he goes like this, and I am like, I am looking at Patty and said, “Patty that is 2 people living together without a marriage license, he is talking about us.” I said, “We need to get married.” And 2 weeks later we got married because we wanted to make things right.

Nathan Jones: Praise the Lord.

Dr. Reagan: Amen.

August Rosado: And the Lord just began to work in our lives and we just….

Dr. Reagan: Okay, now up to that point you didn’t even know anything about the Bible did you?

August Rosado: Nothing about the Bible.

Dr. Reagan: Okay, so what did you do? Did you start intently studying the Bible?

August Rosado: Well actually my pastor took me to a Jewish Synagogue on Shabbat the Sabbath and I had no idea why he was taking me to a Synagogue. I said, “Pastor why are we going to a Jewish Synagogue?” He said, “August the Jews are God’s chosen people, they are the apple of His eye. Did you know that Jesus Christ was a Jew?” Well I thought He was just a Gentile who was a Christian God, and I had no idea He was Jewish.

Dr. Reagan: Well what a blessing to have a pastor like that.

August Rosado: Yes, because he had such a burden for the Jewish people.

Dr. Reagan: Yes.

August Rosado: And so he takes me to the Synagogue and I remember putting on this little beanie on my head, yamaka and I was wondering why their wearing these long colorful robes which I found to be a tallit- a prayer shawl and I remember sitting there he is just telling me, “These are God’s choose people. The Jews are fulfillment of Bible prophecy, and the Church has never replaced the Jews.”

Nathan Jones: Amen.

August Rosado: Right there the Holy Spirit just began to quick inside me and I just had to learn more about this. Finally I went to my very first Bible Prophecy Conference and that when they were all over the place in New England. Now today unfortunately there are hardly any Bible Prophecy Conferences.

Dr. Reagan: I was going to say I didn’t know they ever had a Bible Prophecy Conference in New England, ever.

August Rosado: I know, but this was back in 1988 now and there were Prophecy Conferences everywhere, now there far and few between. I remember the first term this guy used was the Rapture.

Dr. Reagan: Yeah.

August Rosado: And he explained the Rapture and as he was talking about the coming of Jesus, the Tribulation period, Jesus our blessed hope I just felt the Holy Spirit just working in me and calling me to teach this very subject.

Dr. Reagan: Wow.

August Rosado: And as you know the rest is history and the Lord has just been so good to us. And that is my passion as it is yours, preaching and teaching Bible Prophecy.

Dr. Reagan: Now for a while you were a pastor of a church weren’t you?

August Rosado: For 5 years.

Dr. Reagan: For 5 years, and during that time you continued to study, you got some formal training didn’t you?

August Rosado: I did with the Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry; Dr. Renald Showers was my teacher.

Dr. Reagan: Wonderful teacher and a great program that they have of teaching people the Bible.

August Rosado: Oh, yes.

Dr. Reagan: And the importance of a Jewish heritage.

August Rosado: Exactly.

Dr. Reagan: So you got some really good founding. Alright from there when did you decide to move into full-time teaching of Bible prophecy?

August Rosado: It was I would say after I was done pastoring, I pastored Blessed Hope Bible Fellowship for 5 years and then I really felt the call of God to go out across the country and teach and educate about Bible prophecy.

Dr. Reagan: Wasn’t that sort of frightening to just resign your job and step out in faith?

August Rosado: It was. It was. But little is much when God is in it, and when the Lord calls you to do something you just go and do it.

Dr. Reagan: Okay, so you began to go and hold meetings on Bible prophecy and during that time you met somebody, you were invited to speak in Corpus Christi right?

August Rosado: That is correct.

Dr. Reagan: Where?

August Rosado: We were in Kansas at the time, I was preaching an 8 day Bible Prophecy Conference and the gentleman who was broadcasting the conference live said he was going to Corpus Christi and if I wanted to go? Well I said, “Well I don’t know anybody down there.” He said, “Well let me tell you what let me go down there, talk with the pastor and then I will give you a call back.” So finally he calls me back and he said, “The pastor wants you to come down.” So we drove from Kansas all the way down to Corpus Christi, Texas, God’s country and when I got down there the pastor just started bombarding me with questions on Bible prophecy. And he said, “Brother Rosado, would you preach for us Sunday morning on the Rapture?”

Nathan Jones: Wow, great.

August Rosado: I said, “I would love to.” So I get down to People’s Baptist Church in Corpus and preached that Sunday morning and behind the pulpit the brother left a Rolloff.

Dr. Reagan: And that was a church that was affiliated with the Rolloff Ministries?

August Rosado: With the Rolloff Ministries.

Dr. Reagan: Tell them, what are the Rolloff ministries?

August Rosado: Well the Rolloff Ministries were founded by Brother Lester Rolloff some 53 years ago with the purpose of helping men and women around the country struggling with drugs and alcohol and things of that sort. And brother Rolloff as you know went home to be with the Lord in 1982, a terrible plane crash and we take people from all over the country looking for help. So when we got down there they were actually looking for someone to actually represent the homes.

Dr. Reagan: So you affiliated with them, they called you to work with them and that just opened up all kinds of doors with their churches affiliated with that ministry all over the nation.

August Rosado: All over the country.

Dr. Reagan: So you can go in and make a presentation about the Rolloff Ministries and then hit them with Bible prophecy.

August Rosado: Well that is what I told the Pastor, I said, “Pastor I just want to let you know that my passion is Bible Prophecy and I really don’t want to change that.” He said, “Brother Rosado we don’t want you changing anything. You go out there and you teach and preach on Bible Prophecy. And then of course just also just let them know about the Rolloff Homes.” That never changed.

Nathan Jones: It is a wonderful synthesis though of where you came from and where you are now, you can see the Lord working through your life to merge all those things together in what you do.

August Rosado: It is only a God thing Nathan. I am still mind boggled today as to what God is doing. I remember it was about 8 years ago sitting in my living room and the ministry was going no where, and I said, “Lord, I simply just don’t understand why it isn’t going anywhere, but I am just going to trust you.” And then all of sudden look at what God has done. And I just want to give Him the glory for that.

Nathan Jones: Every weekend you are out on the road.

August Rosado: On the road preaching at some church.

Dr. Reagan: You are a living example of one of my favorite Scriptures in the whole Word of God and that is in 2 Chronicles 16:9, “The eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.”

August Rosado: That is an awesome verse.

Dr. Reagan: Isn’t that something?

August Rosado: That is an awesome verse.

Dr. Reagan: To think that God is just looking around trying to find people who have really given their heart to Him that He can support them and encourage them. And boy I tell you when you look at your history you can see God’s hand was upon you and He has moved you to a place where He has magnified your voice and using you to warn people of the soon return of Jesus.

August Rosado: And I just give Him all the glory for it.

Dr. Reagan: And you believe that with all your heart, isn’t that your passionate message that Jesus is Returning Soon.

August Rosado: That is my passionate message that Jesus Christ is indeed coming soon and it could be today.

Part 3

Nathan Jones: Welcome back to our interview of August Rosado a Bible Prophecy Teacher and Preacher, and Founder of the ministry called Today in Bible Prophecy. August it has been great to be talking with you man.

August Rosado: Good to be with you brother.

Nathan Jones: And you just produced a book called, The Serpent, the Seed, and the Second Coming. Can you tell us about it, what it is about, and where you got that interesting title?

August Rosado: Well I am really proud of this very first book, The Serpent, the Seed, and the Second Coming. It actually deals with Messianic Prophecy and Bible Prophecy, the First Coming of Jesus and of course His Second Coming. Satan has always tried to thwart the promises of God. When man fell God gave the promise of Genesis 3:15 that He would send a Redeemer that would bring fallen mankind to a holy, righteous God. Satan knowing that has tried to thwart the promises of God by corrupting the Messianic bloodline with the ungodly line of Cain in Genesis 4 and of course in Genesis 6 with the Nephilim you know having union with the daughters of men. So we go through out the entire book of Genesis with that going all the way to the book of Revelation and how it will culminate at the Second Coming of Jesus with the greatest battle of all time between the seed of the serpent and the seed of the women the Lord Jesus Christ.

Nathan Jones: Oh, that sounds exciting. Why don’t you tell our folks then how they can get it, how they can contact your ministry, and especially what I love is your newsletter, I love getting your newsletter, I love reading it, tell them how to get that.

August Rosado: Well all you have to do is just go to www.todayinbibleprophecy.org that is 1 word, todayinbibleprophecy.org, you can sign up for our e-mail newsletters every single week. And also you can use our paypal button to purchase the book, The Serpent, the Seed, and the Second Coming and I hope it is a blessing to you.

Nathan Jones: Excellent, one other question, I look at your tie you’ve got the Jewish Star of David, you’ve got a Menorah.

Dr. Reagan: I see that, yeah.

Nathan Jones: I mean that is impressive. Every time I see you, you are wearing something Jewish. Why do you have such a passion for Israel?

August Rosado: I have such a burden for the Jewish people. Just as Paul did as he said in Romans 10:1, “Brethren my hearts desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they might be save.” That is my burden, I believe that is the passion of this ministry here their burden to see Jewish people saved. We go to Israel every single year, we take Hebrew New Testament Bibles with us and we just pass them out, out there on Ben Yehuda Street.

Nathan Jones: Really?

August Rosado: And they love it. So my passion is reaching out to the Jewish people because I love the Jewish roots of my Christian faith. Psalm 122:6 in the Hebrew, “Sh’aLV ShLVM YUrVShLM.” Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. And the only time that Jerusalem will have peace is when the SAHR sha-LOME the Prince of Peace Himself comes and He reigns bodily for a 1,000 years.

Dr. Reagan: So when you pray for the peace of Jerusalem you are praying for the Return of Yeshua the Messiah.

August Rosado: That is exactly right Dave. I am praying for the return of Yeshua Hamashiach.

Dr. Reagan: Let me ask you something here. You’re probably well aware of the fact that the vast majority of Christian denominations both Protestant and Catholic teach that the Church has replaced the Jews and God has no purpose left for the Jewish people. That they are Christ killers, that He has washed His hands of them and that is it. What is your response to that?

August Rosado: I reject replacement theology 100%. It is not biblical and I believe that it is Anti-Semitic. Many of our Bible Seminaries say that they teach Replacement Theology; that God is done with the Jewish people and all of the promises that God made to the Jews are now null and void and have been transferred over to the Church so now the Church is the new Israel. If you believe in Replacement Theology then you better rip Romans 9, 10, and 11 out of your Bible.

Nathan Jones: Amen.

August Rosado: Because as long as Romans 9, 10, and 11 are in your Bible, Replacement Theology is nothing more than a false doctrine and it is not substantiated here in the Word of God.

Dr. Reagan: Well I tell you Paul certainly did not know anything about Replacement Theology did he?

August Rosado: Not at all.

Dr. Reagan: In Romans 11:1, he says, “God has not rejected His people has He? And the Church says yes, He says, “May it never be for I am too am an Israelite, a descendent of Abraham of the tribe of Benjamin, God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew.”

August Rosado: There it is.

Dr. Reagan: There is no reason those three chapters have been the most ignored chapters in the history of Christianity.

August Rosado: And for some reason they ignore Romans 11 as if it doesn’t even exist in the Bible. Replacement Theology is false doctrine, I hate that doctrine, it is not substantiated in the Word of God and I think we ought to reject it 100%.

Dr. Reagan: God has a great plan for the Jews in the end times doesn’t He?

August Rosado: He sure does.

Dr. Reagan: In fact He is doing it right now, gathering them for the four corners of the earth for a purpose.

August Rosado: That’s right since 1897 the Jews have been coming back into the land as a fulfillment of Bible prophecy. If you just think that is coincidence then you have some problems. I don’t believe in coincidence I believe in God-incidence, amen.

Nathan Jones: So Pope Benedict then didn’t have to exonerate the Jews of Jesus’ death. God didn’t wash the Jews out of His hands, right? There is no need for the Pope as he did recently to forgive them.

August Rosado: No need for that at all, exactly.

Nathan Jones: What are some of the promises that God has for the Jews coming up?

August Rosado: I mean we read from Genesis all the way to the Book of Revelation, God has promises for the Jewish people. As a matter of fact Nathan in Ezekiel 34, 18 times God says, “I will, I will, I will, I will, I will bring the Jewish people from the four corners of the

earth. I will bring them back into their own homeland. I will establish my covenant with them.” Eighteen times God says, “I will.”

Nathan Jones: That’s a lot.

August Rosado: Because of His promises that He has for the Jewish people there, there not null, they are not void, and the Church has never, ever replaced the Jewish people.

Nathan Jones: What about the people that argue then that they coming back from the exile in Babylon fulfills those prophecies?

August Rosado: It does fulfill the prophecies because God promised them that they would be back to Jerusalem after that 70 years of Babylonian captivity. Cyrus defeats the Babylonian army, they go back to Israel, they rebuild the Second Temple. But when I read Deuteronomy 28, God said that the Jews would be dispersed to the 4 corners of the earth, well that was fulfilled in AD 70 when the Roman General Titus came in, destroyed the city of Jerusalem, Jews were scattered to the 4 corners of the earth. Even though Jesus said because you have rejected the time of my visitation, yet because of the promises I made to Abraham and to David you will one day be back in the land. When was the fulfilled? May 14, 1948.

Nathan Jones: We are here to see it.

August Rosado: That is a fulfillment of Ezekiel 36:24, “For I will take you from among the heathen,” the goyim in the Hebrew, “gather you out of all countries, will bring you back into your old homeland,” fulfilled, Nathan, May the 14th of 1948 that is not a coincidence that is a God-incident.

Nathan Jones: Amen, amen.

Dr. Reagan: You know this thing that the Church has taught for 2,000 years which has been the source of much Anti-Semitism is that the Jews were the Christ killers and the Jews, and God washed His hands of them, that’s just not what is taught in the Bible. For example in Acts 4:27 it says, “That this city was gathered together against the holy servant Jesus and those who God did anoint, both Herod, Pontius Pilate, the Gentiles and the people of Israel. So who murdered Jesus? Herod, Pontius Pilate, the Gentiles, the peoples of Israel, and you and me and Nathan.

Nathan Jones: That is why in the “Passion” Mel Gibson was the one–

Dr. Reagan: We all have the blood of Jesus on our hands–

Nathan Jones: –nailing.

Dr. Reagan: –because He died for our sins. That is one of the things that always impressed me about mid-evil, great mid-evil painters when they would paint pictures of the crucifixion they would always place themselves at the foot of the cross and paint themselves in there as one of those who were nailing Jesus to the cross.

August Rosado: Yes.

Dr. Reagan: Because He died for the sins of all of us.

August Rosado: That is exactly right Dave. And that when you mentioned that Acts 4:27 was the first verse that came to mind, “All of us were responsible for the death of the Lord Jesus.” So to just blame it on the Jewish people again it boils down to Anti-Semitism.

Dr. Reagan: That’s right.

August Rosado: We were all responsible for the death of our Lord.

Dr. Reagan: That’s what it is. Well brother I appreciate your passion for the Jewish people and your appreciation of our Jewish roots. And I know that is a very important part of your ministry. Would you be willing to come back next week and talk with us more about that?

August Rosado: I would love to Dr. Reagan.

Nathan Jones: Alright.

Dr. Reagan: Well, we would love to have you back man. We would love people with passion.

August Rosado: Amen.

Dr. Reagan: Okay, well we will have you do that, and I know our viewers will be tuning back in to hear you speak some more about the Jewish people.

August Rosado: Thank you.

Part 4

Dr. Reagan: As we bring our program to a close this week I would like to tell you about this book, “Wrath and Glory,” which is my explanation of the book of Revelation. The title comes from the fact that the Bible teaches that Jesus is going to return as a roaring lion to pour out the wrath of God on those who have rejected God’s grace and mercy. And then He will reign in glory and majesty over all the world from Mount Zion in Jerusalem; flooding the world with peace, righteousness and justice. Thus His return will be one characterized by both wrath and glory. This book is written for the layman, it is practical and down to earth and easy to understand which is probably the reason it has been translated into so many different languages. To order the book simply call the number that you see on the screen and ask for the book by name. It can be yours for a gift of $20 or more. The first chapter in the book provides the keys for understanding Revelation and all of Bible prophecy. The second chapter provides an overview of the entire book of Revelation, chapter by chapter. The third chapter tells how the events in Revelation relate to other end time prophecy. And the fourth chapter provides answers to the most frequently asked questions about Revelation. The fifth and final chapter shows how Revelation contains lessons that apply to Christians living here and now. Again you can get a copy of the book for a gift of $20 or more, including shipping. Just call the number that you see on the screen, call Monday thru Friday between 8 AM and 5 PM Central Time or you can go to our website at lamblion.com and place your order there. That is lamblion.com with no and in the middle.

Well that is our program for this week. I hope that you will be back with us next week when we will have August back with us again, and Nathan and I will be grilling him once again talking about that passion that he has for Bible prophecy. Until then this is Dave Reagan speaking for Lamb and Lion Ministries’ saying, “Look up, be watchful, for our redemption is drawing near.”
